The Custard Story
Here is a small write-up that I wrote on my Instagram post when I casually published a post on this dessert. I really hope you like it and do not forget to follow my Instagram page for all the latest posts and recipes.
This story is about a humble dessert called ‘Custard’…a home for all the abandoned fruits lying in the fruit basket waiting to be picked by someone.
The fruit basket gets pushed to the extreme corner of the table, to make space for the large pizza boxes. The apple in the basket is not as crisp and shiny as it should be. Bananas are shunned for their brown speckles and there is a lone orange unnoticed along with a sour kiwi.
All of a sudden, these fruits get picked up together by the home chef…all wondering if the transit is a mixer jar to get revamped into a smoothie. The chef then walks past the blender only to place these forsaken goodies on a chopping board.
Voila! The fruits rejoice as they are now being presented in their real form but with a makeover. They are elegantly peeled and chopped, and get dressed in a creamy silky gleaming sauce called ‘the custard’.
The fruits are now loved by almost anyone…even by those who just pushed the fruit basket to the corner of the table.
The mighty ‘custard’ embraced all the fruits by giving them a new life and purpose…and those who enjoyed the custard lived happily ever after😀
