Punjabi style batter fried fish served as appetizers at parties.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams boneless fish cubes Hammour

Marinade:

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 tsp chili powder according to one's taste
  • 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • ¼ tsp ajwain crushed carom seeds
  • ½ tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 3 tbsp besan chickpea flour
  • 1 tbsp maida plain flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Few drops of orange-red color
  • Chat masala to sprinkle
  • 3 cups oil for deep frying

Instructions
 

  • Clean the fish and pat dry on a kitchen towel.
  • In a glass bowl combine all the ingredients of the marinade to make a smooth paste with a sticky texture. Use drops of water if required.
  • Add fish pieces to it and mix well and set aside in a refrigerator for 30 min to 1 hr.
  • Heat oil in a saucepan. Fry the pieces in batches till crispy and cooked. (10 min on each side).
  • Drain on a kitchen towel. Sprinkle lemon juice and chaat masala and serve hot.
