Nizami Veg Seekh Kabab
Ingredients
- 2 potatoes boiled and mashed
- 1 carrot grated
- 1 cup finely chopped cabbage
- 1 capsicum finely chopped
- 1 onion chopped
- 5 big size garlic cloves chopped
- 3 green chilies chopped
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp amchur powder
- ½ tsp garam masala powder
- 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- ½ tsp black salt
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp cashew nut powder
- 3 tbsp grated Cheddar cheese
- 3 tbsp roasted Chana Dal powder
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat oil in a saucepan and fry garlic, green chilies and onion till onion turns light brown. Add cabbage, carrot, capsicum and stir well on high heat for 3 min.
- Then add lemon juice, amchur, garam masala powder, cumin powder,black pepper, black salt and salt . Cook for a min , set aside and let it cool.
- In a large mixing bowl combine mashed potato, cooked veggies, cheese, cashew nut powder and chana dal powder and mix well.
- Check the seasoning and adjust accordingly. Refrigerate for 30 min.
- Take a spoonful of mixture on your palms and shape them into seekh and insert a wooden skewer through it.
- Shallow fry the kabobs on medium-low heat on a non-stick pan till golden on all sides.
- Serve hot with green chutney.
