Chicken 65 is a South Indian style of preparation wherein marinated chicken is deep fried and then cooked in yogurt sauce and infused with flavors of curry leaves and green chilies.
What is so special about Chicken 65?
Why is it called Chicken 65?
The answer to this question will always remain a mystery. It is believed that it was the 65th item on the menu card of an old restaurant where the word after ‘Chicken’ was erased by mistake.
And many claim that 65 spices go into the dish, which I personally feel is impossible and unreal.
There is also a belief that the dish originated somewhere in 1965 so it gets the name 65.
